Hello, my name is Brett Locker. I am a specialist Gynaecologist and have my consulting rooms in Charlestown, Newcastle. i am also the Director of Gynaecology at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. I finished my specialist training in 1997 and worked in Port Macquarie, NSW prior to moving back to Newcastle in 2005 to pursue my special interest areas in gynaecological practice. Working in a large regional centre such as Port Macquarie provides a very broad range of clinical exposure, which is not accessable in metropolitan practice. 

I have special interest and expertise in the area of Urogynaecology and Infertility management with Genea, together with significant experience in all areas of general gynaecology.

I have been involved with medical education over the last 20 years. At john Hunter Hospital I am involved with both medical student and registrar (training specialist) teaching and assessment. I have been on the Board of Examiners for the Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and also the coordinator of the John Hunter Hospital specialist training scheme for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It might be of interest to you that John Hunter has the biggest specialist training scheme in NSW (19 trainees). I hope you find my website helpful and informative.
